Empowering every learner

My specialized approach to growth and independence in students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Understanding each child's unique strengths

I believe every child is an individual with distinct strengths. For students with ASD, our priority is to create a predictable and safe world where they can thrive. By implementing clear routines and utilizing specialized tools such as visual schedules and communication technology, we can eliminate uncertainty, allowing students to focus on learning and developing essential skills. My goal is always to build confidence and promote independence.

Data-driven and collaborative approach

My commitment to student success is grounded in continuous data analysis and collaboration. I will closely monitor student responses to various lessons and maintain regular communication with parents and your team of specialists. This allows for quick adjustments to teaching strategies, ensuring that we are always using the most effective methods. I strive to create an environment where every child feels understood and supported.

Showcasing expertise in action

To demonstrate our expertise in center-based classrooms, I highlight projects that exemplify structured planning and student independence. I provide detailed Mathematics Case Studies and Math Diagnostic Reports that show how we identify unique starting points and build customized learning paths. My Student Transition Plan reflect our focus on long-term success, preparing students not just for today, but for independent living and future achievements.

Methods for success

My classroom methods are designed to create a smooth, effective learning environment. I will utilize Visual Schedules and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to foster predictable routines and positive interactions. Through Universal Design for Learning (UDL), I want to ensure that every lesson is accessible and engaging for all students, addressing diverse learning styles and needs.

Connecting with our community

I aim to engage with fellow educators and parents. For school leaders, I can showcase professional skills and IEP experience. For teachers and specialists, I want to focus on collaborative partnerships and understanding of frameworks like MTSS and UDL. Most importantly, for parents and guardians, I want to provide peace of mind by demonstrating how Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and AAC systems prioritize their child's dignity and unique communication needs.
